tokyo dawn, the heart

“Balance” (Sound Strategy) has been included on Tokyo Dawn Records’ newest compilation, The Heart, Volume 2. Much love to Marc Wallowy for the inclusion, despite the extended period since it’s debut. As he said, this one “still needs to become a hit!”

A lot of people have been asking about a new album. I can tell you that I am very excited about the music that has already been recorded and more is on the way; striving for excellence, top to bottom.

I have uploaded both Natural Hunger and Sound Strategy, to Bandcamp, and they can be purchased directly, by selecting “Buy” in the music player. This will route you to a Paypal transaction, beneficial to both the buyer and seller. Again, thanks for your continued support!

Only a few months until I complete the Master’s program at IU. I’m not sure what it means to me now, or what significance it might have in the future, but it has been a welcome incubative period. During this time, I have been able to write enough music for another album, allowing the process to develop and the words to take shape. Sustaining the concentration and energy necessary to write can be painful. Poetry is the best I can hope for.

bandcamp

In this constantly evolving world of online media, sometimes you actually encounter a resource that blows you away for its usefulness and innovation. For me, this is Bandcamp, where artists can gather all sorts of demographics related to their music. I have uploaded a couple tracks from Natural Hunger, “Let Go” and “Density.” I wanted to start with songs that many of you may have overlooked! The only stipulation is that you leave a contact address, where I can keep you updated. Trust me, I am not one to bombard you with emails, but I would like to know you better, and vice versa! Over time, I will be adding more tracks, but I wanted to give this a test run and encourage you to focus on a couple of songs, rather than being further inundated, in an already over-saturated music market.

I know it’s been a long time since I released any new material. Recently, I unearthed this track from a few years ago. A friend invited me to the studio one night, where I met David “Edge” Posey. I laid down the bass and keys, while “Edge” worked his production skills. As the track came together, I jotted down some lyrical sketches, went into the booth and this is the result. Enjoy!
